Immediately prior to founding the AI Strategies Group, Lyman provided consulting services by founding PL Supply Chain Consulting, where he successfully executed strategic improvement projects for small businesses and start-ups in the midwest.

Expertise

Lyman began his career as an engineer, and moved through various developmental roles after earning his MBA at the University of Wisconsin.  Much of his early career was in manufacturing leadership roles, delivering operational improvements and successful plant start-ups by being an early adopter of continuous improvement methodologies.  He was responsible for the P&L of a large Tier 1 automotive business, transitioning and growing the business from being a regional component supplier to a global systems supplier.

Lyman then joined the supply chain organization of Rockwell Automation, the leading industrial automation company in North America.  In this role he delivered significant growth and cost productivity improvements, through relocating operations from high cost to low cost regions and guiding start-ups and expansions in emerging regions.  He transitioned the business from multi-legacy systems to a single business system, while simultaneously implementing smart manufacturing in plant operations and supply chain.  Lyman takes pride in his track record of coaching and developing key leadership talent, improving talent depth, increasing diversity, and increasing employee engagement.  He was engaged with consulting services for a broad range of Fortune 1000 global C-suite operations and IT leaders to educate and support strategy development in smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
